Reading through the documents presented, I encountered this line "Item 12: RESALE RESTRICTIONS. “The securities you are purchasing are subject to a resale restriction. You may never be able to resell the securities." The point of investing is to create a return for the investor by selling a previously purchased asset. My intent is not to sell the asset any time soon but somewhere in the future, 5-10 years. Will I be able to sell my assets in awardpool in the future? Can you please clarify this for me? Thank you for your time and help

Thank you for your question.  There is no question that what you have outlined is the purpose of investing.   That is of course something that Awardpool is working towards regarding the future.  That section specifically speaks to sale restrictions that exist on all shares of private companies.  Private companies have legal restrictions around the resale of their shares put in place by securities regulators.

Private companies are not designed for quick and easy resale of their shares.  Governments restrict the ability to easily resell shares between investors to companies that have ‘ gone public’ and are listed on an exchange.  This protects individual investors by giving them access to a safe place to sell those shares, and mandating detailed disclosures from the company.  Awardpool’s future plans do include several possible ways to earn returns for their investors.  However, those are not guaranteed, and with private shares, you as an investor do not have the ability to sell your shares whenever you want until/unless the company goes public.
